Kakapo-rn
I don't even know where to start with this. First off, how is it that this fat, flightless green parrot exists in New Zealeand and no one has yet informed me of it? It is so wonderfully dumb and trusting and fantastical and exhibits such endearingly unapologetically extinction-prone behavior in this scene that how could we not throw everything down right now and commit our lives to saving it from that fate? And we thought we'd seen the last of the dodos...

AHHHHHHH fantastic.
Do you know Last Chance to See? It was a book by Douglas Adams about a trip he took with the photographer in that video all around the world to see endangered species. Very cool....
isn't it absolutely priceless? part of me still thinks that the bbc & terry jones are pulling a fast one on me again using computer animation (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dfWzp7rYR4). i was so excited about those damn flying penguins for about 2 glorious seconds of my life...
had no idea about the douglas adams book! never could even make it through the hitchhikers guide...
